Question: Which direction should I take the novel I'm writing!?
So far I have a 15 year old girl named Serene & a 16 year old boy named Mason who have been best friends since they were little!. Then they meet a boy down the street [i dont have a name for him yet!. any ideas!?] and he is very mysterious and sketchy!. And Serense wants to find out more about him but Mason doesnt like him at all!.!.!.
I dont want anything to predictble and nothing about vampires/werewolves please

Maybe Mason secretly likes Serene as more than a friend but Serene doesn't know!. She gets in tight with the new kid, pick a very gothic sounding name like edmund but not an over-used one, make his name as unique as he is!. He convinces her to do barely legal and sometimes illegal things and the only person who can save her from this destructive path she's on is Mason!. And as Mason is doing this, he finds out about the new kid's sketchy past!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
How about!.!.!.the boy down the street has all this stuff in common with Serene!. Mason does not like him and thinks there may be something wrong with that guy!. Serene defends him and half falls in love with him because he reminds her of someone (her brother maybe!?)!. The guy starts telling Serene more and more stuff!.!.!.almost like he knows her!. She thinks it is romantic!. Mason starts to investigate him behind Serene's back!. He finds out the reason that he knows all this stuff is because he was in the same asylum with her brother who talked about her all the time!. how bout the boy turns out to be a serial killer who lures in young girls, could have some sort of rape undertone (depends), and then kills em!. Mason finds out about it, and serene doesn't believe him and starts to fall for the mysterious kid!.
