Well you could go door to door, get a website, or go to local bookstores and tell them ( don't ask them, this gives them a chance to say no) to buy your book, and offer to do a book signing!. Good Luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I can give you one piece of advice on what not to do: don't do what so many other new authors tend to and go on Amazon writing a load of fake five star reviews about your own book!. It is SO OBVIOUS and whenever I see it I just give up on the book straight away!. It makes it look like it's going to be a bad novel before even reading it, as it just comes across kinda sad!.
Anyway just a word of advice!. :)
Try local newspapers/radio stations!. Go to your local bookshops as well and they often do window displays or special advertising of authors from the area!.

Another option is to find someone who does PR!. They would be able to do all of the things that were above mentioned much quicker and better than you would probably be able to do (let's face it, it's their job!)!. The only problem with that is that it would cost you money and depending on your location and who you find it could get expensive!.

If that's not for you, then it's definitely a possibility to try managing it yourself!. A book release would also be a good idea, as it will bring you into touch with more people!.
