The Gemma Doyle Trilogy wasn't a vampire series, but it was fantasy with other worlds, action/adventure, good/evil, love/hate, friendship/betrayal, and reality/fantasy!. It was a really good series about a girl in boarding school who found out she had the ability to go to the other worlds (realms) where magical creatures were!. The series includes:
A Great and Terrible Beauty
Rebel Angels
The Sweet Far Thing

I also liked the Vampire Academy Series (Vampire Academy is book 1 and Frostbite is book 2)!. It was pretty good!. There's a 3rd one coming out sometime, but I'm not sure when exactly!.

As for books that have emotion and make me cry!.!.!.just about any book by Nicholas Sparks!. I always make sure there's a box of tissues near me when I read those books!. And Jame's Patterson's books Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas and Sam's Letters to Jennifer!.

I will also admit, there were a few times throughout the Twilight series that I shed a few tears!. LoL!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Anne Rice novel's are really good, but more adult than the Twilight series, my personal favorite is "The Vampire Lestat" and another really good book is Shattered Mirror by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, which is a bout a girl born into a strong line of female vampire hunters that falls in love with a vampire that goes against everything shes ever known, it takes place in present day and is really good, its a YA novel!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
