You have part of the answers!. The story is about surviving during one of the most brutal times in history!. The setting is the various concentration camps or "death camps" during WWII in Nazi Germany!. The setting is very important because it talks about the holocaust at a very personal level!. It happened and it's real!. Think about what Night would be WITHOUT the setting!? It displaces it from history and thus doesn't make it seem real at a personal level!. The book is all about this man's experience so the setting is crucial!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
