You never really know much about the person he is writing to !. I am pretty sure it's a girl though, but he seems to trust them enough because he says " you didn't sleep with that person at that party, when you could have" and someone that was a friend of his that was a girl, told him about this certain person!. Confusing, I know!. But most of what you get is from the first paragraph of the book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's one of those things that you're supposed to accept as unknown!. It's like in the Metamorphosis by Kafka, you don't know what sort of bug the main character turns into!.
