Question: The Hobbit!? What's it about!?
Hey OK so for school I need to read the book The Hobbit by J!.R!.R!. Tolkien!. What is the book about, like a brief summary is good!.
I want to know a little bit about it before I read it because I understand it better that way!. Sounds crazy but knowing a little bit before I read helps me understand it more and whatnot!. Please help me! It's a thick book and I need to read it!. What is it about in a nutshell!. Thanks for the help!. It just helps me understand the book better!.

The Hobbit tells the story about a ordinary hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, who is suddenly thrown into an extraordinary adventure!. He is timid at first, but when it gets tough, he shows courage and lots of cunning and earns the respect of his fellow travelers!. Bilbo and the 12 dwarves he travels with, are heading to the mountain where they were driven out by Smaug, the dragon, to reclaim their mammoth treasure of their forefathers!. However, complications arise, and the end climaxes in a epic battle!. Very good read for all ages! After that, read LOTR!.

The Hobbit is basically a prequel to the Lord of the Rings stories!. The main character is Bilbo Baggins, the hobbit, and the story takes place basically right before the Lord of the Rings stories do!. In fact, they tend to blend together!. If you have seen the Lord of the Rings films, you have seen references to The Hobbit!. It's an easy read filled with fantasy, dragons, spells, dwarves (who kidnap poor little Bilbo), and yes, even Gollum and Gandalf and the one ring!. But do not be fooled by the movie Lord of the Rings!. This is NOT the same so don't write your report by what you remember from the movies!. It's worth the read!. Have fun!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
