Nope, He is merely a teenage boy without any parents!
I dont think he thinks he knows better than anyone else, However we as a human race always think our opinions are more important/relevant/true than others!. It is Human Nature!

Harry is truly, "the salt of the earth"!. He cares about goodness and friendship and Love!. He has been faced with so much, suffered so much losses!. Yet he still maintains his optimism, his zets for life and his battle for eternal goodnes!

I think it is just natural for a boy his age, to act the way he does sometimes!.
Im not saying that his perfect and that he doesnt make mistakes, But noone is perfect,and if he was any different as a chharacter, he would be less human, and more perfect, which would not have made him such a relatable character!.

I love Harry Potter, I love the entire series, and I think the epilogue was simply Brilliant!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sure, he thinks he knows what is best!. So do 99% of all teenagers!. Teens think they know it all!. It's an inherent part of the teenage years!.

He disobeys orders, yeah, but usually only when it's necessary or when he thinks it's the right thing to do (and usually his breaking the rules ends up working in the long run)!. And honestly, what teenage hasn't even done something they weren't supposed to!?

And Harry is usually right!. Not always, but he tends to actually be right with his guesses!. He trusts his conscience!. I don't see anything wrong with that!.

Considering the fact that he's a 12-17 (whichever book you choose) orphan boy who has a crappy family life, is incessantly hunted by the most evil wizard of all time, and is basically worshiped and gossiped by everyone in the wizarding world, I'd say Harry does pretty well!. He's a bit whiny sometimes but hey!-- how many teens could honestly handle everything Harry has to face without being a little whiny sometimes!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

no, he's acting like a teenager =D i think thats why ppl can relate to him so much, they understand being in a similar situation from crushes to dating to drama with friends and what not!. but he has it was worse--to the extreme =D i love harry!! [not as much as edward thoo lol]

I suppose I wouldn't go so far as to say that I HATE him!.!.!.but I do find him quite irritating a lot of the time!.
He is always so "teen angst"!. I realize that he has had a troubled past, but when he just explodes at his friends (who are just trying to help) I can't help but find him immensely irritating!.
I am, however, glad that he found his happy ending!.!.!.even if the epilogue was a bit!.!.!.cheesy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When you compare him to his father, he's not arrogant in the slightest!.
Just like Draco Malfoy makes Dudley seem cool, same goes!. But Harry is a rebellious, but I guess most teenage guys are, to some degree!. At least he didn't toss Draco in the air just because he "existed"!
