Question: What's a good way to start!.!.!.!.!?
a 1st person account of a drummer's first performance with a band!?

Should i start with how nervous the narrator was walking up the steps to the stage or already sitting down, all eyes on her waiting for her to give the four count (the hitting of sticks together while very awesomely saying, '1 2 3 4!')

what do you think!?

(no this is NOT a story)Www@QuestionHome@Com

You basically just want to explain how nervous she was walking up the steps to the stage, like you said!. also, when she gets on stage explain the lighting and the way the faces looked like a blur!. Oh, and you might want to explain how everyone was cheering, clapping, screaming, etc!.

There are some movies I've seen that have this sort of scenario played out!. My favorite way always starts with a description of the performer's surroundings (already sitting), and how nervous he/she feels before everything goes absolutely quiet!. It's like a moment of peace/reflection before everything goes into overdrive!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The person who best explains this is Scott Westerfeld!. He explains how it feels to be nervous and totally jazzed at the same time!. Read The Last Days in Alana Raye's perspective!. It basically says how she's nervous, but she wants to play so badly that it overrides all other emotions!. Thats really the best for me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try the already sitting down giving out the four count intro!. Has more power to it than the other option!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
