Question: How did you like Breaking Dawn!?
*Spoilers* I really loved Breaking Dawn but I think Renesmee's birthday kind of ruined it for me!. I don't view Edward and Bella as the same characters, anymore because of it!. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're a happy family now but I'm going to miss Edward and Bella as the lovesick couple who stumble over their words (OK, that's mostly just Bella!.!.!.) And I'm really glad Jacob imprinted on Renesmee but he won't be the same Jacob to me!.!.!.no matter how many books are written, I'll view all characters differently!. So in conclusion, I liked Breaking Dawn for the most part but Bella and Edward as parents just killed it all for me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I loved the book a lot, because I was thinking before the release that it would really need some new themes, new conflicts, because the old ones have been thoroughly and minutely explored in Eclipse and previous books - Bella in danger from murderous vampires, Edward overprotective of her, Jacob fighting with her and making up, over and over!. Would you really be reading anything new if twists like Renesmee being conceived, Bella becoming a vampire, were not there!?

True, I felt very disappointed when Bella found out about the freakish pregnancy - classic twist in a forbidden love!. It creeped me out, and I was forever expecting Bella to get a rude awakening by giving birth to a scary monster baby!. BUT, looking past the disturbing growth and 'drinking blood' thing, I grew truly attached to this sweet, irresistible baby through the page of BD!. I simply LOVED the scene in which the too-mature baby thinks of loving its mother and a stunned Edward hears it!. I got a huge kick out of Renesmee calling Edward 'Daddy'!. How cute is that!? I think, old-worldly as they are, Edward and Bella were perfectly ready to be parents, and make very good ones, too!. The relationship needed a new dimension!. They're still the lovesick couple, but with a twist!. I was pleased to see the changes becoming parents made to them, though disappointed in such a lot of romance and Edward's fatherhood experiences going off-page!.

But yes, Jacob's happy ending killed my pleasure of rereading Eclipse!. Sadistic, am I not!? I simply can't cry over his heartbreak and Bella's goodbye at the end of Eclipse, and I feel deprived of spilling tears!.

TO 'BEWARE OF WRACKSPURTS': Sorry, but how could you not think of Bella as a mom!? Her mothering instincts are all over the series - right from Twilight in which she fretted over Renee, to Eclipse where she tried so hard to keep Edward and Jacob from going into danger, Seth from Riley etc!. She worries like a mother-hen!. That's why I loved her new talent - suits her so!. Protecting people's minds with her own little shield!. Her love for Renesmee was heart-breakingly beautiful!. *sigh* AND, if you don't believe me, see page 45 of Eclipse paperback!.!. Second paragraph!.

yeah i couldn't imagine bella as a mom but i love renesmee!. bella completley changes, going from shy and clumsy to not-so-shy and uncommonly graceful!. and i acually liked jacob after the book was told from his perspective!. i did love breaking dawn though!. edward isn't as big of a character which upseted me, and i still hated bella, but, yes, i will view the characters differently from now on!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it was just weird!. the kid who was nearly as smart as an adult, creepy!. bella and edward being parents, wth!. jacob imprinting on edwards daughter, wtf!. no epic was scene that was being built up,are you kidding me!.i dont want to come off as bashing the book, but i waited a whole year and this is what i get!. i guess having high expectations aren't always good!. i still love the series!.!.!.maybe if i read breaking dawn again ill like it more!. i hope so!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I thought the book was just way over the edge weird, it reminded me of her scifi novel the host!. it was almost as though another writer wrote this book with just the basic plot in mind, having never read the other books because it totally did not go along with the others!. it was a major let down for me i must say, though i am warming up to it, i dont hate it as much as i did beforeWww@QuestionHome@Com

That's understandable!. Maybe that's why it was written that way!. This is supposed to be the last book in the saga!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It was so-so!. I liked the part about the honeymoon, I thought it was really funny when Bella tried to bribe Edward to make love to her by promising she would go to college!. And the part about the pregnancy was quite interesting (though I don't get the part about her having to drink blood to feed the baby - blood is what unborn babies feed on anyway, they get it from the placenta)!.

But once she changed into a vampire I thought it all got too easy!. the trouble with the vampires is that they are so immune from human weaknesses that they simply aren't very interesting!. Edward's flawless perfection has always bored me rather, and now Bella is flawlessly perfect too, and that makes her uninteresting!.

And I frankly did not care much for Jacob imprinting on the baby, I found that quite weird!. I would rather he had imprinted on someone his own age!.

And the ending was a HUGE letdown!. I thought there was going to be a massive dramatic fight, and int he end there was nothing! I thought some at least of the vampires were going to get killed, maybe not Bella and Edward, but some of the others!. Everything was just too easy and comfortable and bland for my taste!. i'd been expecting something more!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
