I'm sure it's fine for people who don't care if they read a book or watch TV on a given evening!. But come on!. No one can argue that the great writers of the Western world are Shakespeare, Byron, Goethe, and J!.K bloody Rowling!. I think it's quite sad when a children's series has become the literary work that defines modern culture!. What does that say about modern culture!? Yeah, fine, call me elitist, call me an intellectual snob, but give me Goethe any day!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Perhaps the writing could stand a bit more eloquence and maybe the plot is needlessly thick, yet pathetically simple, but couldn't that be that beauty of it!? I think that's what makes the books so mesmerizing!. Yes, they are fantastic!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
