Question: If anyone has read the giver than what is releasing a person doing!?!?!?

I just am curious I mean I know when they release the person they practically kill them but that's the babies what about the elder!. They just walk through a door!.!.!.!.!.but does anyone know what happens after they walk through the door!?!? Even if you don't what are some ideas that you have!?!?!?!? I am just really curious to know some more!. I thought that it was an interesting but great book!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If I remember correctly, the conclusion my class came to from both the movie and the book is pretty much the same; they kill them!. I personally thought lethal injection was likely!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They still kill the older people!. Just when that person becomes tired or living, and crippled, and they can't contribute to society anymore, then they decide that it's time to be "released" or killed!. They walk into that door after their release party, then somebody in there injects them with poison!. Yes, sad, I know!. But that's what happens in the book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think they are sent to a gas chamber, Hitler style, and then sent down a meat processing plant and that's how they get their food -- sort of similar to Soylent Green!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
