Male vampires can have children with human women since their bodies continuously change allowing a pregnancy cycle!. Therefore the child was Edward's and Bella's(while still human)!. Female vampires can't have children since their bodies are frozen to the state when biten, hence their can not become pregnant or have periods etc!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
