Question: Book recommendations please!!
I asked this before but didn't get the answers I was looking for!.

To make this clear, I'm 16 years old, female, and desperately searching for books that can keep me preoccupied for the rest of the summer!. I like fiction books and some of the ones I've enjoyed reading are the Twilight series, Harry Potter!.!. things like that!. Fun, entertaining, with light humor!. Thanks!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hope you like these! I think you will, but nothing can compare to Twilight!. =)Www@QuestionHome@Com

http://www!.amazon!.com
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (a series) by Ann Brashares is often recommended, and I like the looks of it!.

Alanna: The First Adventure (Song of the Lioness, Book 1) by Tamora Pierce looks pretty good too!.
http://www!.tamorapierce!.com
There is also listed at Amazon The Chronicles of Elantra by Michelle Sagara, though they may not be so much with the 'light humor!.'

Moving beyond the books you've listed as what you like, and thinking of your age, you may like the Janet Evanovich mystery books, starting with 'One for the Money' and now about to 14 or so!. I only read maybe five of those!.!.!. they get gritty, funny-good and then funny to the point of almost over the top, and they are romantic!. Evanovich is okay, it was just hard for me to keep reading about one of her characters in particular, the grandma!. Just personal taste!. They are essentially light books with a bit of gore for 'realism!.'
I know, that sounds very strange, but there really isn't much to any of the murderous stuff!.!.!. Evanovich is 'fun, entertaining, with light humor' for the most part!.

Try 'The Crocodile Bird' by Ruth Rendell if you do want to read mysterious goings-on!. That is a fairly strange book, but the person from whose point of view the book is written is truly fascinating, and a winner!.

ADD: I read one of the Clique series and once I adjusted to very young teens with scads of money and time and brand names mentioned constantly, I found Harrison's books to be very funny, and good stories!.

If you liked Twilight, you'll probably like A Great And Terrible Beauty (by Libba Bray), and the sequel Rebel Angels!. It's a trilogy so there are 3 books, the third is A Sweet Far Thing (i didn't read the 3rd)!. I loved the book A Northern Light by Jennifer Donnely, Blackthorn Winter, And Then There Were None and Murder on the Orient Express ( both by Agatha Christie)!.

You could also go to Amazon!.com, and look in the 'lists' section!. They have book recommendations based on the kinds of books you like!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Why don't you try the Narnia series!. You can either read them on the edited teens section or on the original version on the adult fiction!. They're fun, scary, magical!.
You can add the the classic Jane Eyre, probably in the future!. I think it's a fun for yong girls still dreaming of prince charming!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try Janet Evanovich's "Stephanie Plum" series!. I'm normally a murder mystery reader but I really enjoy this series and find myself laughing out loud at times!. They're fairly quick reads which is another plus!.
Try to start with One for the Money and continue through the series if you like them!.

Read Castaways of the Flying Dutchman!. This is my favorite book!. The main characters are a boy and his dog!. Ben, (boy) is 14, but becomes imortal!. Ned (dog) is just as importint in a way which you'll find out!. Please give this book a chance!. The author is Brian Jacques!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Uglies Series by Scott Westerfled
--this series is really good and has some romance and lots of action so i think that you might like this series its amazing and there are four books so that will keep you occupied for a while!. This is a really interesting series and its also fun and has some humor!.

The Blue Bloods Series by Melissa de la Cruz
--this series is also really amazing this is also a vampire series and its might take a couple pages to get into but its worth it, this is one of the only series that i think i could say is almost as good as the twilight series!. if you liked twilight youll love this cause it has some of the same elements, but written in a different style that you might like!.

The House of Night Series by Kristen and PC Cast
--this is also a really good series, its interesting and it takes place in a private school, but since they are vampires its more than just teen drama!. and also this has some humor and its entertaining!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
