Haha, I've been bitten by the serial killer bug too, so don't feel bad!.

I don't know about the "lesser known" part, but I really recommend The Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule as a classic of the true crime genre!. Rule was writing a book about the unknown serial slayings when the killer was finally caught; it turned out to be her good friend, Ted Bundy!. It's a fascinating insider's perspective!.

A wonderful book about a lesser known serial killer is Devil in the White City by Erik Larsen!. It juxtaposes the life of the architect of the Chicago World Fair with the life of H!.H!. Holmes, one of the earliest American serial killers!.

If you want to go REALLY obscure, there's a book by Georges Bataille called The Trial of Gilles de Rais, which includes the actual trial transcripts of 14th century child murder Gilles de Rais!. It's a bit academic, but very interesting!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Harry Potter!.

Story of a little wizard serial killer + his two other serial killer accomplices who go around with their magic wands killing forest creatures, demons, Voldemort, etc!. + they even practice forbidden/illegal witchcraft!.

If you haven't already read them, then you have to read Devil in the White City by Erik Larson and In Cold Blood by Truman Capote! So good!Www@QuestionHome@Com
