It's more often broken down into types of fiction!. Types of literature are generally like Romantics, Antebellum, Modernism, etc!.

For genres of fiction you have (usually referred to as genres, but I'll comply with your setup):
Literary Fiction
Erotic Fiction
Romance Fiction
Historical Fiction
Transgressive Fiction
Protest Fiction (usually called Literature)

Well, hell, the truth is you can put just about any modifier you want in front of it!. There is Gay & Lesbian Fiction, Horror Fiction, S&M Fiction, etc!. It all depends on how nit-picky you want to get!.
