Question: Is His Last Bow the last Sherlock Holmes story!?
From the name and the closing paragraph, it really seems that it would be the end of his adventures!. However a few years later Conan Doyle published 12 more stories under The Case Book of Sherlock Holmes, which would make his last story The Adventure of The Retired Colourman!.
So which one would you guys say really is the last one!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

If I remember correctly, "His Last Bow" is the final story in terms of Holmes' chronological age!. "The Case Book" stories were written later, but they covered events that happened earlier in Holmes' career!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

The adventure of the retired colourman has often wrongly been identified as the last sherlock holmes story to be published but in actual fact the adventure of shoscombe old place was the last story published!. The stories in the casebook of sherlock holmes published in 1927 are considered the weakest holmes stories and the reason for this was that conan doyle was immersed in spiritualism by then and was no longer really interested in holmes!. When the final casebook was published nearly 40 years had passed since holmes first appearance and conan doyle was bored of him by them and was heavily into seances and spiritualism!. His last bow is a collection of previously published holmes stories published between 1908-1913 as well as the story of the title!. While his last bow was the last holmes story written by doyle the valley of fear written in 1914 was the final holmes full length novel!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
