Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
There is a website called http://www!.writers-block-solution!.com/ that has a free to download !.pdf file!. I have never had anything that helped me so much in my writing!. It's full of tips and tricks and worksheets!. Hope it helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I get that sometimes, and it SO irritating because I want to write in my novel, but then when I get to it, I have no ideas!. (I'm a 13 year old author :P)
Go for a walk, or listen to one of those sad songs that get you thinking!.
I know this is weird but, listen to one of those relaxation tapes, like those really looong song/sound effects things, that are supposed to help be rid of stress!. I listened to one called Rain forest Romance and got an amazing idea for one of my novels, its called 'The never ending river' I'm working on 4 different novels right now!. And I just kind of skim along!.!.!.
Hope this helps,

Avoid!? Man, I wish! There seems to be no way to avoid it!.

Once it hits, you just have to work through it!. Put whatever it is that you're working on aside!. Trust me on this; it will save you editing time later if you just push it aside!. Start something completely different!. I completely destroyed a novel because I tried to 'work through the block!.' I had to delete pages and pages of work!.

You can try writing exercises or prompts or word games!. The solution is different for every writer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I write through it!. But then, this is my job!. I don't get time off for writer's block!. Deadlines have to be met!.

However, whenever I do hit a wall in my writing, it usually means I've screwed up somewhere!. There's always a point where suddenly the story starts to get off track!. You just have to backtrack and find it!. When you've found it, you need to find a new path so you can move forward again!.

There's no avoiding hitting those walls!. Even people who plan out every detail can suddenly find themselves derailed!. But you can certainly keep working through it!.

And no writing is ever wasted!. It's just writing that doesn't belong to this particular story!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't be a writer!. That's the only way!.

Seriously, you will never slay that dragon!. The best you can do is move on!. Do something else; a new story, a new chapter, anything!. There are also plenty of books that are filled with prompts designed to get your creative juices flowing!. One I would highly reccommend is The 3am Epiphany, by Brian Kiteley!.

Keep Writing :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
