If you are going to treat them as fiction, then Harry Potter is probably the better read!. Although there's marginally more bloodshed in the Bible!. And the ending of the Bible is better!.

(The Bible can be treated as fiction or non-fiction!. You certainly can't say it's non-fiction for sure, and it definately *contains* fiction (what did you think parables were!?)!. And, on the other hand, ALL religious texts should be treated with a little, just a little, respect!. It's part of not hurting other people, which actually is important, and basic manners and morality!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Tough choice!. I'd say go for Harry Potter because the language is probably easier!. I keep meaning to read the bible (I've got the Jewish version, the King James Christian version, and a translation of the Koran), mostly so I can get the jokes I keep hearing, but I haven't gotten around to it yet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm gonna say the bible, despite the fact that I'm not Christian!. It's well written and entertaining!. It has poetry, fables, and stories, where Harry Potter is just one type of literature!.
But I'd go for classic fiction over poorly written new releases any day!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
