My advice: Mix and match!
I mix fantasy races all the time for my stories!. Here are some ideas to help get you started!.

Dragontroll
Elfgoblin
Dwarffairy

or, try mixing animals with humans and renaming them!.!.!.

Cheetah, man = Cheemahn
Crocodile, woman = Wakordlim

Think about all the possibilities!. You could make everyday objects come to life, and warp them into something deadly or heroic!.
