Question: In Cold Blood by Truman Capote!?
I have to do 20 journal entries from the book!. I found an entry that I want to write about but I am having trouble with it!. I goes:

"If one bird carried all the grains of sand, grain by grain, across the ocean, by the time he got them to the other side, that would be the beginning of eternity!."
It is on pg 69!.

What does it mean!!?!Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's just to make you think of how long a time that would be!. It would take years and years and years to do that, longer than the life of the bird, but that would be only the beginning of what eternity is!.

Good luck with the book, it's one of my favorites!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Strictly my take on this!. Others may see it differently!.

Simply put, the task would take an extreme amount of time (probably millions of years), but that amount of time would not make even a small dent in the the length of time eternity exists (infinity - forever)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
