A depressed emo kid gets paired up with a fairly popular girl for a school project!. They talk and it leads to romance!. (more things happen but that's basically the main thing!. It's a romantic comedy type of book)

It's just that so many YA books are like this - to the point where books like these are just plain annoying!.

Not that exact idea, but hundreds of stories have the same general idea!. Boy and girl who are completely different meet up somehow and, miracle of all miracles, they fall in love!. Teen books all over the country have the same idea!. Nicholas Sparks wrote a similar book called A Walk to Remember!. Only no emos!. Of course, he did it fantastically and added a sad and unexpected ending!.

If you made it original enough (harder than it sounds), it could be a good book!. But if it's just the same, boring, cliche idea!.!.!.don't even bother writing it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it reminds me of 10 things i hate about you, but in a different way!. i think the idea has been used quite a bit, but if you mix it up with what happens, it could turn out to be a pretty good book!Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's been done with myriad variations in the movies!. How about a popular kid with depression being pulled out of it by a normal kid who just wants a good grade!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
