How do I go into Writing or Directing?

Question: How do I go into Writing or Directing!?

I wan't to be a writer or director when i'm older!. I can write well but i have no idea what to do next!. Do I try and publish my books!? If so how!? How do I get into directing!. I really don't know how to go about it and nobody I know can help me!. I really need advice soon! Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You need to join groups they will probably be held in a library theatre ect!. I know my local library has a young writers group and at my theatre group we have a 'backstage class' of writing directing lights and makeup!.Look around!.Start by entering writ ting competitions you will see them advertised at school on world book days and short story things in magazines!.Try contacting your local theatre to see if you can help direct amateur productions with younger children!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
