Question: A Harry Potter Question!?!?

Okay, so, I've got a few questions about the character Regulus Black!.
1!. Regulus offered the services of Kreacher to Voldemort in 1979!. After Voldemort left Kreacher to die in the cave, it seems that was the last straw for Regulus, and he started to turn against the Death Eaters!. He died when he was 18, a year after the Kreacher incident!. What I'm wondering is- did Voldemort actually know that Regulus had turned traitor!? Or was Regulus still pretending to be a Death Eater for that year, before he switched the Horcruxes (he could have used Occlumency like Snape to hide his true feelings)!?!?
I'd really like to know what you think, or if it ever says anywhere in the books if Voldemort knew Regulus was a traitor!. It seems like he would have known before Regulus switched the Horcruxes, since Sirius knew he'd turned traitor!. However, since when Regulus was asking Kreacher to take him to the Horcrux Cave, he seems to be in Grimmauld Place- so it would seem like he wasn't on the run, as Voldemort would be keeping a watch on the house!.!.!.right!?

1) Did Voldemort know
I think it plain that he didn't!. Reggy died in the cave!. Now, there is no way that Voldy could have known that Kreacher survived - he probably didn't even know Kreacher's name!. Certainly, Voldy never suspected that Reggy had managed to extract the horcrux from the cave!.
2) Reggy's death
As mentioned above, Voldy was *not* responsible (directly), but Sirius believed that Voldy had killed him!. Why!? Because Kreacher had told someone (Sirius' mom!?) that Voldy was responsible, of course! Likely, Kreacher had also reported that Reggy defied Voldy!. SO, Sirius' info on his brother was slightly misunderstood - he thought (it is plain in the book that he is uncertain) that Voldy *may* have killed Reggy personally, but we know that is not what happened!. Certainly, though, Voldy's magic was responsible for the death of Reggy!.
Considering Reggy's actions after finding what Voldy had done to Kreacher, I suspect that Kreacher was probably both proud and devastated that Reggy reacted in such a manner - in a manner that cost him his life!. Reggy could very easily have escaped with Kreacher **and** the locket by asking Kreacher to drink the potion again and then ordering him to apparate both of them away!. Reggy sacrificed himself for Kreacher's sake - but, also, with the knowledge that Voldy might extract the location of the horcrux from him if he lived long enough for Voldy to discover what he had done!.

I'm wondering why voldemort killed/had someone kill Regulus!. I'm pretty sure it wasn't for that specific Locket stealing incident because Voldy definetely wasn't aware of that!. However, I think he was suspicious of Regulus's waning servility as Sirius said that he was doubting You Know Who!. So he probably killed him like he would kill any one who doesn't return to him, like Kakaroff!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I am pretty sure that Voldemort did not know that Regulas was plotting against him!. And he didn't die an year after the incident, he died within the same year!. Regulas wouldn't have had much time until Voldemort realized his plan to switch the lockets!. I think Regulas went straight to work when Kreacher arrived and told him what Voldy had made him do!. And soon after Regulas went back to the cave with Kreacher!. Grimmauld Place was probably his safe place!. He only played being loyal to Voldemort for a little longer, and Voldemort would probably have had no time for him for he was too focused on his Horcuxes!. Regulas was only 18 and i doubt he was skilled in Occulmency like Snape!. He was fast, probably knowing that Voldemort had horcuxes before the incident but Kreacher only prooved it to be true!. He knew the dark lord would catch on, he was quick and smart about it!. I have a feeling that he wanted to get out of the death eater business before this and that is why Sirius knew he had turned traitor!. That's just a guess!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
No, Voldie didn't know Regulus betrayed him!. In fact, in the last book, Voldemort doesn't even find out about the switch; he goes to the cave to make sure his horcrux is safe when he finds out Harry is looking for them!.
EDIT: FYI, Regulus did not die at the hands of Voldemort, Regulus died drinking the potion in place of Kreacher in order to switch the locket (Kreacher had already done it once for Voldemort, Regulus didn't want him to do it again)!. Then Kreacher was ordered to leave Regulus and go hide the original locket!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
