I'm not being mean, but if you can't come up with a story on your own, then you really can't write fiction!. Great fiction comes from authors who are passionate about telling THEIR story!. Not somebody elses!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you can't come up with an idea, you won't be able to come up with the story!. That, and why would you want to use someone else's idea!? Or why would you expect someone else to let you use their idea!?

I've just spent the last 3 hours fleshing out an idea for my next novel!. I've actually been working on it for almost a week, and will probably spend another week on it before I'm ready to start writing chapter 1!. The idea is part of the work of writing a story!. Yes, I have some ideas, but you can't have them!. Sorry!. If you are writing for your own entertainment, then you can try writing fanfiction or something!. If you are actually trying to write a story, then you need to come up with your own story!. There are 2 parts to being an author in my opinion: thinking of a plot and writing the plot!.
