A book is not based off of who the author is, but the quality of the story!. I say - as a author myself - if your friend's story is really that well written then people will love it all the same as they have loved other adult bestsellers!. A award is possible!.!.but it depends what award you are talking about, also what type of story this is!. I am aware of young authors, yes, famous ones at that!. Remeber, anyone who has the heart to write can do it, despite anything unimportant such as how old you are!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

he probaly wont actually get it published until he is like 15 because of all the editing and things like that!.
but look at christopher paloni he was 15 when eragon got published and he was like 13 when he started writing it!.
