Question: Did you like Breaking Dawn or Hate it!?

I guess I did!.

I liked it because:
1!. It is sweet that Bella had a child!.
2!. It was kind of exciting when she became a vampire!.
3!. Jacob stopped the little crush on Bella

I didn't like it because!.!.!.
1!. The fight with the Voulturi (can't spell!.!.) was long and boring!.!.I got unfocused
2!. It was gross that Jacob imprinted on Bella's child
3!. The ending was kind of bad
4!. It didn't make me cry or laugh!.!.(I love books that have action!.!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I disliked it!. I found it to be excessive and a little bit nauseating and here's why:

1!. The book did not have to be 700+ pages long!.
2!. I felt she alienated her audience, which is mostly VERY YOUNG, with the sex scenes and grotesqueness!.
3!. The narrative and plot format was so completely different from the other 3 books!. It had nothing in common with Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse!. It did follow the same format at all!.
4!. The characterization from the other 3 books basically went out the window!. Edward was barely even around outside of the sex scenes!.
5!. None of it made any sense!?
6!. Renesmee is the creepiest child I have ever read about!. The whole idea of her is really, really creepy!. Looking seven forever!? Jacob imprinting on her!? How creepily intelligent she is!? Grosss
7!. I really feel that how in control Bella was after being turned was a little excessive!. Why does she always have to be so perfect!?

On the other hand, the writing was a million times better than the other books!. I did enjoy reading it, but I love the Twilight story and I was anxious to see how it ended!. I was really disappointed though, because it felt so incongruous!. The whole story seemed to come out of left field!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i dont really know if i liked it or not yet!.

i liked it because:
-when she became a vampire it was described really good!.
-she wasnt a crazy newborn (that would have been boring)
-jacobs blonde jokes where so funny! i was laughing outloud
-bella really becomes part of their family
-it was sorta suspensful
-she still got to see charlie
-jacobs part was funny
-none of the main people died

i didnt like it because:
-the whole bella getting pregnant was weird!.
-i hated the name renesmee
-edward telling jacob he can get bella pregnant
-the characters didnt seem the same and way too mature
-edward calling jacob son (weird)
-jacob imprinting on nessie!. that was just lame
-bella and edward were way too sex obsessed
-bella and edward seemed kinda distant

so overall, i would give it a 5 out of 10

I didn't hate it nor did I love it!.

There was two big lead ups in the book(Jacob & the Wolves / The Volturi & The vamps) and both ended with a thud!. I expected more than what we got!. The book could have been condensed, so that the stuff with Volturi didn't have take eons of time!.

I feel a little unsatisfied with the ending, and hoped we get an epilogue!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I didn't like it !.!.!. i felt it was too "Happily-ever-after", you know what I mean!? plus no fight, bella saves the day etc etc
it was all really generic
nothing exciting

and i felt like it was really really predictable!.!.!. like the alice thing i knew what was going to happen to some degree !.!.!. like when they left that note i was like yeah that's BS i don't believe that!. and i was right

and I HATE JACOB and i hated him even more and it was so stupid with him imprinting on renesme or whatever!. i felt like it was a quick fix, you know!?

also i hate the babys name!. its dumb!.

and another thing with the lack of a fight !.!.!. i felt like she may have origionally had a fight at the end but her publicist made her change it for some reason or she felt like it wasnt "kid-friendly" - which i read in an interview at some point that she was nervous about keeping the books for the kid/YA age group!.!.!. which is why we didnt get very steamy edward/bella love scenes!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It was okay overall!. but i still feel like it could have been 10 times better!. there wasn't one fight in the whole book!. i mean all those talented vampires and no fight!.

i also thought Stephenie's characters lost alot of their appeal in this book!. i forgot most of them existed until they were mentioned!.

but i love that Jacob imprinted on Resneme!. I think that will be a very cool story line!. Because now Edward is going to be the angry father instead of the jealous boyfriend lol!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

and i really want my money back!!!! the whole thing was so boring and lame i could barely read more after the middle its like she ran out of exciting new plots tht were totally dumb to boggle anybody else and started with the extra boring stuff! and jacob! omg dont even get me started! IM JUST SO GLAD BELLA GOT A WHOOPING! i would have done it myself! shes a weak clingy female no one should look up to!!!

I did like it but things were a bit TOO twisted and I don't really like Jacob and the fact that Renesmee actually thinks of marrying him!.!.!. The Volturi part was a bit boring too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm kinda caught in the middle, but i had more dislikes than likes!.

Likes:
1 - Bella's power

2 - The amazing group of vampires joined against the Volturi!. Amazons, Romanians, Egyptians, Irish, Americans, and especially, the wolves! GREAT scene!.

3 - Bella finally allowing Edward to read her mind!.

4 - Jacob's blonde jokes and his chapter titles! SERIOUSLY needed comic relief!. I'm pretty sure that's the only reason i kept reading after we found out Bella was pregnant!.

Dislikes:
1 - Bella getting pregnant!. Didn't Meer state on several occasions that, one, when you become a vampire, all fluids become venom, and two, the ones that don't die out, i!.e!. sperm!? It's like she changed the rules to fit the plot!.

2 - The birth!. I really didn't like that!. A bit too dramatically graphic for my taste!. I can take blood, but 'She arched her back and vomited a fountain of blood'!? Eew! It takes a LOT to gross me out!.!.!.but that right there did it!. *shudder*

3 - Jacob's imprint!. It felt like he was settling for Bella's kid because he couldn't have Bella!. As much as i hate(d) him, he does deserve better!.

4 - Alice's absense!. Obviously, i'm a die-hard Alice fan!. Short girls are grossly underestimated (i should know) and she kicked butt in the last few books!. BUT SHE WAS GONE! She just!.!.!.up and left! How very!.!.!.un-Alice!.

5 - THER WAS NO WAR! They had everyone ready, all of the Volturi divvyed up, EVERYTHING! Edward got Demetri while Vladimir took Alec as Kate demolished Jane and Tanya took down Caius! They had it all covered! And with Bella's gift, they'd've been invincible!. But no war! How rotten is that!?!

6 - I think that Bella and Edward were a bit to!.!.!.sex-obsessed!. THAT was weird, and very out of character!.

Overall, i found the first 400-500 pages very cheesey!. Like a cross between a very bad sci-fi vampire movie script and an even worse fanfiction!. "The abomination that the Cullens have bred!.!.!." [Sam Uley], 'Bred'!?! Honestly, who says that!?! They makes it sound like they a bunch of dogs they're breeding for sale! I've heard that lame line in almost every vampire movie with a half-breed in it, which is almost EVERY vampire movie these days!. I loved the final 268-368 pages because of the Volturi and the Rogues!. VERY awesome how the Cullens assembled an entire ARMY to fight, even if there wasn't one!.

I'm still kinda!.!.!.undecided on wether i liked it or not!.

I liked it because:
1!. The part from Jake's point of view was the funniest thing I've ever read!. I couldn't stop laughing!.
2!. Leah yelled at Bella for hurting Jake!. FINALLY, someone chewed Bella out!. That sounds so awful of me to say, but Bella NEEDED a reality check!. Someone needed to tell her exactly how awful she was being, and neither Jake nor Edward would have done it!.
3!. I was happy for Rose!. She finally got to be a mommy (in a way)!.

I didn't like it because!.!.!.
There was no plot!.
There were dozens of plot holes!. The entire plot was based off of one plot hole!.
There were SO many loose ends!.
The fight with the Volturi suck!. Good authors don't spend time building up to a fight scene not to have it happen!. Good god, the Volturi just ran away!. How lame!. Where's the conflict!?!
The characters didn't act like themselves at ALL!.
The ending sucked!.
I felt no emotion while reading it except for when Jake imprinted (and I bawled on that part cause I was so mad)!. The other books made me feel something, at least!.
The whole Jake/Nessie thing was DISGUSTING!.
The writing was awful!.
The book dragged on for 800 pages, yet I could probably summarize the entire book in a minute!. It was way too long!.
There was too much sex!.
The Bella/Jacob relationship was dissolved in a really lame way!.
The conflicts from the other books were basically forgotten!. It's like she didn't even remember what had happened in the first three!.
It was too "happily ever after"!. It was so lame that Bella got to keep everything!. The first three books were all about how it would be such a sacrifice for her to change-- and she ended up not sacrificing everything!. It was just lame!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
