Question: Naming a "manly" character!. Help please
I'm in the process of finding a name for a manly, wolfish character!.

Quite obviously, he's a guy!.

He's 25 and I'm looking for a name that conjures up an image of a wolfish man and that is age appropriate!. (That the name sounds like it would fit a 25 year old man!.)

I suppose "bad boy" type names would work, assuming that they are age-appropriate!.

I don't need a last name!.

And I don't want suggestions like "Wolfe!." Nothing horribly obvious please!?

I would prefer that the name is pretty common- nothing obscure!.

I've searched and searched!.!.!.And I'm quite hopeless at this point!.

Thanks in advance!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would recommend using a masculine name that is tried and true; John or Marcus, for example!. If you try using names that are too out there, the character is going to sound cheesy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The best place to choose names is on www!.behindthename!.com!. Let me let you in on a little secret - the really "manly" names generally come off sounding like fake porn star names!. I pick one out, then try it out and get giggly because they sound like porn stars!. Remember that old expression about "watching out for choir boys!?" Sometimes the best way to create a really "bad boy" type character is by making him a choir boy and not looking for a real rough and tumble name!. It has worked for me in the past!. Something middle of the road like Alex that could go either way and leave your readers guessing for a while!.

I keep that site bookmarked!. Give it a shot!. Pax-CWww@QuestionHome@Com

I think the name of an old German sheppard of ours is appropriate cause it sounds like ear and dogs are known for their hearing!. It is not a bad boy name But really what would a bad boy name be certainly nothing I read listed above in the suggestions!.
Is you character a protagonist or an antagonist!?
Perhaps the name of a pistol or an name such as hunter would suffice!.

OH and by the way, sorry to leave you hangin, our sheppard was named "EARCO" I think it might have german roots!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
