definitely

it is a romance which normally 12 year olds hate but it is so good

i was 11 when i read it and now i am 12

the only thing about it that might be inappropriate is when the girl (who is 18)wants to have sex but he said they should wait until they get married ( it teaches a good lesson)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would say it isn't appropriate!. There is nothing in the content that involves inappropriate language or sexual content, but the themes in the book set a bad example for young girls!.
The plot and characters of the book are completely sexist!. The heroine, Bella, is a weak, boring, normal girl!. Then she falls in love with a hot strong guy, Edward!. Edward thinks he knows better than Bella and tries to control her life and sometime uses his strength to implement his decisions on her life!. Not to mention he is a hundred years old and watches her while she sleeps which makes him a pedophile and a stalker!.
This book is basically saying that this behavior is normal and in fact is love, which it is not and it is inappropriate to teach young girls that this is ok!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would definetely reccomend it for your daughter! They're great books and she would definetely enjoy them!. There's nothing too innapropriate in the books!. If you're okay with mild language and kissing, then it should be fine! Well, the third book in the saga, Eclipse, is a bit more hardcore!. Edward and Bella, the main characters are talking about sex and stuff!. It's not too bad, but there are some parts to watch out for!. Overall, they're great books and your daughter would definetely enjoy them!. Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in the saga, is coming out soon!. In 5 days! Some other books I would recommend for her age group is the Maximum Ride series (by James Patterson), Sarah Dessen books, and also Meg Cabot books!. I hope she enjoys reading :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

In twilight the farthest the couple goes is kissing, but the male charcter does spend the night with the female charcter often [fully clothed, they only sleep]

Though, in the third book of the series, eclipse, the female charcter hints at having sex with the male character and tries to seduce him!.!.!.though, they really don't go into too much detail at all

so I'd say it's okay, its written in a way thats more geared towards younger readers but appeals to many because of the plotWww@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah, it's fine, there's no mature content within the books, all they do is kiss--if that, and he comes to visit her at night but they remain fully clothed throughout the first three books!. I don't even recall there being much bad language at all, in fact, I can't particularly remember any!.

In Eclipse, there's some suggustive dialoge, although nothing happens what-so-ever, because he want's to wait until they're married (which is a good lesson in today's society), and there's not too much of it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's not okay if you don't want her to become a raving fangirl with an unrealistic idea of what romance is!. She'll be drooling over the main male character who happens to be a jealous obsessive stalker!.

But it doesn't really have anything explicit in it!. At times it mentions sex but never by name, and there isn't much kissing or cursing either!. So it's pretty pg-13, should be okay for her!. But you should read it first, if you're worried!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, it is perfectly fine! But in the third book, Bella wants to have sex with Edward (but it doesn't happen), but that scene isn't very graphic!. It is perfectly fine, my friend read it when she was 12 and she loved it, I had another friend who read it when she was 12 and she hated it!. It is appropriate, but she may not like it!. I'm 13 and I like it!. That one thing I said above is the only thing that I would think that a mother would be uncomfortable with, but that is in the third book!. The first is perfectly appropriate!. But it does teach a good lesson in the third when Bella (the girl) wants to have sex with Edward (the boy), but Edward doesn't let her, because he said that he wants to wait until he is married!. If you feel uncomfortable with that topic, you should talk to her, because she should know that anyway!. But I think that is ok for her to read!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm 12 and i read them, and so do all my friends!.

nothing inapropriate happens in it!

and though in eclipse, bella wants to sleep with edward, he says no, and says that he wants to wait till he's married!.

so it has good morals!.

don't worry!.

No!. I wouldn't reccomend it!. She might be looking for an Edward of her own, and since she doesn't understand relationships (although she may act like she does), she'll be looking straight into an abusive partner!. Edward's not bad, but she should be a little older!. I reccomend 14 to start reading it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yeah definitly!. its not bad i mean the worst that happens sexually is they kiss!. in the 3 book eclipse its a little more intense for a lack of a better word but there both fully dressed like they dont have sex its a very very good bookWww@QuestionHome@Com

Twilight and New Moon are good, but try not to let her read Eclipes untill she's a year or two older, because there is a bit of sexual suggestion at parts!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes!. im twelve and i do!. trust me, if you say no to it, she will find a way to read it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It should be ok for her to read it!.There isint to much cussing and the farthest they go is Thier in bed together fully clothed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

She might not understand a good bit of it!.
I think it was mainly aimed for people 14 and up!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
