Question: Anyone read: Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, Scarlet Letter, Little Women, The Bean Trees!?
I have to do a summer project on two books and how the main character in each book comes to a has a societal epiphany!. I was wondering if anyone has read any of them and what they thought of them!. I narrowed the list down to two sets!. I thought Little Women and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister both sounded interesting but you have to read the books in pre-determind pairs!.
So what do you think!? Should I read

I've never read confessions of an ugly stepsister but I know what it's about and I've read the other 3 books!.
The Confessions/Scarlet Letter pair are about women who are not accepted by society!.
Little women/bean tree are about strong women trying to do what they want in life!.
Scarlet Letter has an interesting plot but the writing style is really boring and dry!.
Both Little women and the bean tree are relatively easy reads compared to scarlet letter and I used to love those 2 books!.
It depends on what you want, the first pair has definitely more interesting and more complex plot and ideas but the second pair is easier to read!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I'd go with that first pair!. Maguire is a great author!. I read Wicked in under 24 hours!. You'll love his writing!.
Scarlet Letter is a classic, but its much less compelling!. Read it first to get it out of the way!. You might actually enjoy it, but many people hate it!. So just get through it first!. Then you'll be free to enjoy Maguire!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I only read 'Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister' and I personally loved it!. Its twisted so it starts out before they meet the family with Cinderella's family, and It is extremely entertaining!. I gave it a 8!.5/10Www@QuestionHome@Com
Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister sounds good and the Scarlet Letter is classic, but Little Women is also good!. The Bean Trees thing i've never heard!. Pick the one you like more!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"The Scarlet Letter" is a hard book to read through (especially in the summer) so I would suggest Little Women and the Bean Trees!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
