I just finished it, and I have to say, it was great! Huck is now one of my favorite literary characters!. How'd you like it!?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Huck Finn is, in the opinion of some, the BEST American novel ever written!. It is definately on my top 10 list!.

Tom Sawyer is not as nuanced as Huck Finn but a good read!. The fence whitewash scene is a classic and the adventure in the cave is good!. also it does have Huck in it so you may want to read it since you loved Huck Finn!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it's a great book!. marvellous characters, some wonderfully funny parts, and the relationship that develops between Huck and Jim is really interesting!. I found th elast few chapters a bit of a let-down though, Tom Sawyer's meddling in the fate of Huck seems contrived and silly, and his keeping the secret of Jim having been freed from slavery is really heartless!. I wish Twain had given the book a different ending!.

Tom Sawyer is a wonderful book too, but it is very different in tone from Huckleberry Finn, much more light-hearted!. Tom is a much more appealing character in the earlier book than he is in Huckleberry Finn, and there are some wonderfully funny passages!. I would say it is a great book to read in the summer holidays as it is very summery in tone!. One of the best books about childhood that has ever been written!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

ICK ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?!? I tried to read Huck Finn, it was the most boring thing i've ever tried to read!.!.!. i had more fun attempting to decipher the scribbles in the margins from my dad's college days or attempting to reassemble the paperback book that was now in 5 pieces!. I couldn't even force myself through it!. I don't think i got past page 150!.!.!. i could be wrong, but i remember i read the entire first piece of the book and 150 pages sounds about right!.!.!.!. it was boring!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. but big river is a good show and it was based on it!. maybe in a few years i'll give it another shot!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've read them both when I was a kid!. It was quite a while ago!. During the time I read, the technology was not like this day!. So, reading is much more like a main source for entertainment!. I think both of them are very good so you won't be disappointed reading the other one!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I had to read them both for High School and enjoyed them!. I like Tom Sawyer better!. He was such a con artist and that Sid was a pain in the butt! Read it for yourself!. I'm sure you will like it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
