the best book i have read is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak!. it is a WWII novel, but it was really really good!. it has action, scary parts, slight romance, relationships (not bf gf, but like friends and family)!. its basically about a german girl who lives with foster parents during the time of WWII!. her foster father secretly teaches her how to read and write, and her family hides a jew in her basement!. She learns to cope with death many times within the book!. usually i dont like historical fiction but this book was way different!.

there's also a series called the Uglies series, by Scott Westerfeld!. it has a lot of action and romance!. i would definetly recommend it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try Scott Westerfeld!. There's Peeps, and it's sequel, The Last Days, which are about vampires, too!. These vampires are infected by a parasite that is like an STD!. Poor Cal almost caught it- instead, he's simply a "carrier" of the parasite!. He's not a vampire, but every girl he kisses becomes one!.

Scott Westerfeld has also wrote the Midnighters trilogy!. It's about a group of teenagers living in a small town with a special secret!. Every night at mignight, the world freezes for an hour and dark creatures come out to hunt!. Only a few teens are unfrozen for this hour- the ones born at mignight!. When a girl named Jessica moves into town, she's in for quite a surprise!.

The last Scott Westerfeld series I have to reccommend is the Uglies series!. Uglies, Pretties, Specials, and Extras!. Zoom ahead 300 years after the near-death of humanity!. At the age of sixteen, (almost) every person in the world has gets to take a surgery that will turn them into perfect Barbie dolls!. Sounds amazing, right!? Everyone is beautiful- and stupid!. Here's the secret- Doctors implant small tissues in your brain so you think the same thoughts as everyone else!. And you never know it!.

I totally agree with The Phantom of the Opera!. I've read it about ten times and it sounds like a perfect book for you!. Romantic but suspenseful!. also, A Long Fatal Love Chase by Louisa May Alcott is not too well known but is definitely a page turner!. Rebecca is also fantastic and really well written!. You can't go wrong with any of these!.
