Question: What is google book about!?

I don't understand it!. Are those the exact words from the original book, or just a part of it!? If it actually is a copy of the real book, would that be illegal!? Wouldn't it slow down the sells!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Google Books allows you, in some cases, to preview a portion of the real book!. The portions you can read are from the original book, but only a part of it!. It is legal, because it's done by permission of the publisher!. It is like a teaser which lets you read some and, hopefully, enjoy it so much that you want to buy the book so you can read the rest of the story!.

I would think it would increase sales, if the book is good!. At strategic points the preview doesn't allow you to read from the book!. If what you have read has grabbed your interest, you'll want to read the rest of the book!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It looks like the original book!. Most of these look to be a few decades old--just by glancing at the site!. Their sales are most likely over, and google must have gotten permission from the publisher to place the book on the site!. Its not illegal; if it was, Google books would have been taken down by now!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
