Project Gutenberg is entirely LEGAL!!!

I highly recommend their site and use it frequently!. They have some amazing books on there and I'm so, so happy to have it as a resource!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, I knew about the site and, yes, I've downloaded some of the books!. The books and stories they have on Gutenberg are all in the public domain, so it is both legal to read them online or download them and free!.

It's a GREAT site with more than 25,000 titles! I love it!. You can find anything from non-fiction to fiction of all varieties!. What you won't find are books that are still under copyright!. Therefore, there are no modern books!. To be in the public domain, the author has to have been dead for 70 years or more!.

You will find books by Charles Dickens, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Jane Austen, William Shakespeare, the Bronte sisters, Robert Louis Stevenson, Oscar Wilde, Alexandre Dumas, Mary Shelley, Anthony Trollope, Jack London, William Makepeace Thackeray, Louisa May Alcott, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde, Rafael Sabatini, Sir Walter Scott and many, many others!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I doubt it!. I wouldn't download anything till you get more info!. Sort of like music downloading!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
