Macbeth was King of Scotland between 1040–1057!. He was a historical character taken by Shakespeare and used for the playwright’s own ends!. It would seem that the historical character is quite at odds with the dramatic one!. Then again, Shakespeare was no historian!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
