Through the above link, you'll see a poetry and writing contest going, deadline July 31, you can read about it!. I believe this site keeps a contest on all the time, each month, so write down the link, if you like the looks of it!.

At the above site, find the Writer's Competitions box and click on 'for more information!.' That will take you to five different types of contests, deadlines staggered, from poetry to short stories and beyond, for entry fees more like average, meaning for example $12!.00 for the short story contest!. The Digest is always a good source for contests and when they are!. Somewhere I also saw they give 2 issues of the mag for free!.

To stay on top of contests, it's always best to subscribe to a magazine like 'Poets and Writers' (very expensive individually, very cheap through a subscription) or 'Writer's Digest,' also inexpensive with a subscription!. I get both since I occasionally enter contests, which besides the reader fee are fun and can be quite lucrative!.
Best of luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
