Madeleine L'Engle's "Time" Quintet (although if you're an adult and have never read these books, you really need to read them and then share them with your kids):

There is also a new book, recently released, called "Before Green Gables" (I think), that is about Anne's parents and her childhood before the Green Gables series began!.

If you like mysteries, try the Trixie Belden series!. There are a lot of books, but the best ones are the first 5!. After the 5th book, they're not all that great!.

Whether or not you're interested in reading the entire series, "Mists" is a book you won't want to pass up!.

The Twilight series, all by Stephenie Meyer!. Just because someone's sick of it 'cause there's too many questions about it!' (talking about that girl who first posted an answer), it's a VERY good book and I recomend it to fellow bookworms!. Plus, it's got over 500pages for each book and so far 3books that came out about it so far, so it would be worth your time!

Where to get them:
I suggest Barnes and Nobles, or try finding them at your local library (found most likely to be in the adults or teenagers section)!.

Try the Pit Dragon series by Jane Yolen!.

Or if you're into something a little more "grown up", try the Dexter series by Jeff Lindsay!. "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" and "Dearly Devoted Dexter" are the first two!. Can't necessarily recommend the third book in the series since I haven't read it yet!.

There's always Harry Potter, too!.

There are a few decent John Grisham books, and Michael Connelly writes some decent stuff too!. You could also go with classics like "Jane Eyre", "Pride & Prejudice", "Sense & Sensibility", etc!.

I'm also a bookworm and the series i love to read now is the "Twilight Saga" written by Stephenie Meyer!.It's a very sweet and romantic love story about a vampire and a human girl!. Patricia Cornwell writes a really good series focusing around a medical examiner named Kay Scarpetta!.

Sounds lame but really excellent books and highly addictive!. There's a hope heap of them and she's still writing so just start from the beginning and you should be kept occupied for a while!Www@QuestionHome@Com
