I know that they are probably not dead because it would have been mentioned but did Harry ever return to them!. Are Dudley and harry friends!. The Dursleys were sent into hiding because Voldemort might have tried to harm them if they staying at home!. The Dursley family went back to Privet Drive, and Harry went to take up residence in Sirius' old house!. However, in later years, Harry struck up an association of sorts with Dudley!. The two men remained on cordial--if somewhat awkward--terms, to the extent that they even exchanged Christmas cards!. Dudley went on to get a job in his father's drill factory, married, and had three children!. And that Harry took his family to his house whenever they were in the neighborhood!. (That his kids dreaded)!. They most likely did this because Harry felt some affection for him after Dudley tried to make Harry feel that he didn't think he was a waste of space!. She also said that one reader told her that they were hoping to see Dudley would be at King's cross in the epilouge because he had a wizard kid!. (Which I thought would have been perfect) and JK said she considered that, but the wizard blood would not survive contact with Vernon's DNA!.
