I can't sit in the silence for more then like 2 minutes so i just need some noise!. I also like to go outside and sit on my roof with my radio and read!. But my best friend will turn off the music cause she says it desctacts her but it helps me feel emotion!. Like if i am reading a sad part of the story i turn on a sad song and if it is a happy moment then i listen to up beat fast music!. But like i said my friend likes the quiet!. So i guess it just depends on who you are!.Www@QuestionHome@Com For me it depends on the type of reading!. If it's something scientific or mathematic, I prefer to have music playing, probably because I need it to keep my tension and frustration levels down (these are not my strong subjects)!. It helps me read a lot faster!. I don't listen to my IPod!. That would be distracting!. I listen to my stereo that has that drive were you can pulg your IPod in!. So I do that!. If I'm reading for uni then silence is a must, otherwise I get distracted too easily!. If I'm reading for pleasure then yep, I usually listen to music at the same time!.
