ok guys im really lost!.!.im reading this books for ap lit summer work, and also casue it really sounds good!.!.!.but the sad part, im already lost!.!.!.anyhow my questions is abouut Catherine Earnshaw!.!.on sparknotes it says she is the wife and daughter of Mr!.Earnshaw!.!.!.

"Catherine - The daughter of Mr!. Earnshaw and his wife, Catherine falls powerfully in love with Heathcliff, the orphan Mr!. Earnshaw brings home from Liverpool"

So, how is she the DAUGHTER AND WIFE!?!? i dont see how that works!.!.and then Heathcliff and Cathernie so does that mean she falls in love with her adopted brother!?!?!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

She isn't his wife and daughter!. It means that Mr!. Earnshaw and his wife are her parents!. You know, the daughter of Mr!. Earnshaw and the daughter of his wife!.

And yes, she does!.

Hahaha!.!.!.!.yeah that bit in the book is confusing!.

Ok!.!.!.so you've got Cathy who is in love with Heathcliff but marries Edgar instead for the social status!.

Thenn!.!.!.Cathy and Edgar have a baby girl who they name Cathy too, but in the book people will often refer to her as "Young Cathy"!.

Yeah, it's a tad confusing and the book is kind of angry and miserable but I hope you like it!Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are two Catherines!. Heathcliff is in love with the first Catherine who died!. The first Catherine gave birth to a second Catherine or Cathy!. Yes, Heathcliff is the first Catherine's adopted brother!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
