Question: Library Books!?
Can you get fined if you highlight passages in library books!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
If they find out, yes!. Usually they don't check, though!. Either way, it's mainly a matter of respect!. You shouldn't highlight passages out of courtesy for the next person who checks the book out!.
If you really want to be able to look back at a passage, maybe you can just photocopy the page!? Or you could just underline it w/ a pencil and erase it later, but even then the next person might be able to see it (although it's much better than highlighting it)!. Ask your librarian for help!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't do it, it's really annoying either write it out on a bit of paper or underline in pencil and rub it out later!. Have respect for property that isn't yours!. Other people have to use it after youWww@QuestionHome@Com

I agree with everyone else, people after you will be reading the book and won't want to look at highlighted areas!. I always photocopy the pages I need, then highlight my own copies!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
