It keeps the vinyl covers on securely and is sometimes used to reinforce a book whose cover is showing signs of its attachment to the spine becoming weak!.Www@QuestionHome@Com It's probably a magical sort of tape only used by magical librarians; that's why your local Wally World doesn't sell it!. Like spellotape!. ;) Just kidding!. In all seriousness, the tape is made specially for books; it's not terribly sticky, so it won't damage the books!.Www@QuestionHome@Com It holds up better to the large amount of wear and tear books undergo!. Some kinds of tape used by libraries are less sticky than normal tape so the books don't get damaged by adhesive!.Www@QuestionHome@Com It's special library tape!. They use it to hold the plastic dust jacket protectors on for as long as possible!.Www@QuestionHome@Com So you won't bend and crease the covers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
