Question: The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice!?

is this a series that must be read in order!? or is it more like Angels & Demons and The DaVinci Code, which can be read separately!? if you read it, what are your opinions of it!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I loved this series!. I'm actually rereading them now!. I would read Interview with a Vampire and then the Vampire Lestat but afterwards you can probably go in any order you'd like!. The reason why I say that is that Interview is first and kind of like a platform into the rest, plus the book is mentioned in other books in the series and you might not understand why it's mentioned without reading it first!.

The reason I would read Lestat second is because it introduces all of the other vampires that the other novels are about and Lestat is also a part of thier stories as well!. Plus, there are other books in the series that center solely on Lestat again and also include the other characters, like Memnoch the Devil or Queen of the Damned!. If you happened to read those first it might just be confusing when you read the others!.

They are very, very good books!. Don't know if you've read Twilight, but I have and Anne Rice's vampires cannot even be compared to Stephanie Meyers!. Anne Rice is a more mature writer from every angle and it shows!. But then again, I don't think her intended audience was young adult!.
