Question: Will i be able to read it!?!?

I'm a 12 year old girl and i'm planning to read jane austin this summer!. I'm just wondering from the people who have already read books from that author think I'm too young to read it or not mature enough!. My sister started reading her books when she was 11 or something!. I thought I'd try reading!. Should i!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

You should be fine reading Jane Austen!. However, it may take you a great deal of time to understand the dialect of the time, and get used to the old English!. However, I for one love all things Jane Austen, andI suggest you jump right in- her books will make you a better reader and writer, and transport you to a whole new wonderous world of literature!. My suggestion would be to start with Pride & Prejudice, and then Emma- her other books might not be as interesting or humorous to you, and the language is a bit more difficult!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I tried Pride and Prejudice when I was 11!. I think I would have liked it, except that the English was very odd!. I think they used Old English!. And in so versions of the book, there are these huge random dashes!. I don't know what they are, but they are annoying!.
