From Baghdad, With Love by Lieutenant Kopelman - not fiction - the tag line is 'A Marine, the war, and a dog named Lava'!. Excellent read!. Crown Duel (Crown Duel/Court Duel) by Sherwood Smith - siblings battling to win a throne find out that things aren't always what they seem - comforting read Archangel by Sharon Shinn - the first in the series - much better than the blurb on the back of the book makes it sound - might be considered a romance but its almost too plot driven and character driven to qualify and its clean so its not 'trashy' and - like Prachett - anything - anything at all - by Patricia McKillip - its like falling into someone else's dreamWww@QuestionHome@Com Have you tried the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris!? It's fabulous!. It's a paranormal mystery series featuring a mind reader and vampires!. There are some romantic elements, but it's not the primary thrust of the story!.
