Ana, it's a struggle sometimes!. (God, I thought "Moby Dick" was gonna kill me, it was so long-winded!.)

Tricks include reading X number of pages per day, no matter what; reading it in an environment that includes no distractions at all (maybe your library has study carrels!?); taking notes on each section or chapter even though you don't need to, since you read differently that way; reading aloud to a sibling, parent, or even a dog or cat!.

I read most of "The Last of the Mohicans" to my mom's dog!. He didn't care for it, either!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I always do a time/x amount of pages comparison!. So, let's say it takes you 30 minutes to read 15 pages, then you break the rest of the book down into 60 minute time units!. If it is not a book by Dickens, you should be done in under 8 hours!.

Maybe try rewarding yourself with delicious snacks or a glimpse at Facebook after each unit of time!? Whatever you like!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

think of it this way!. You only need to be interested in the book for this class!. Try very hard!. After the class you can forget about it!. Oftentimes, when you get older, it's the very boring books you remember!. Try and look at it that way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Go to the library and see if the have an audio version of the book on CD or cassette!. It might help to hear someone read it out loud!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
