Question: "Misery" by Stephen King!?
I just read this book and I got really confused!.
Towards the end of the book, the second half, Paul starts talking about a "thumbectomy" that happened!. I was so confused!. He starts talking about it just after she cuts off his foot!. Later, he explains it more but I didn't understand if he was re-explaining it or that was how you were supposed to figure out how he got his thumb cut off!.

Can you tell me what happened, and why he got his thumb cut off!? Thank you!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Didn't Wilkes cut is thumb off because he complained that another letter fell off of his typewriter!? It's almost like she's saying that he's capable of typing a story without the letter--just like he's capable of typing the story without a left thumb!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Honey, I read that novel almost twenty years ago!.

How can you seriously expect me to remember such a small detail!?!!?

Didn't Annie Wilkes cut his thumb off like she did his foot!?
