an autobiography (one word) is the story of your life!. Why are you telling the story!?

Is it because of some event in your life you want to relate (then maybe start with that and go back and forward as needed)!. Is it because the arc of your life is interesting (then the typical birth to yesterday format make sense)!. Telling a story in the order it happens is always easier for a reader to follow!.
