I personally do not like the charector of bella (but of course i love edward who doesnt!) Bella is to whiney for me like in New Moon she drove me insane i mean i understand her lose but i dont know her charector just doesnt appeal to me and no on else seems to agree with me! are there any other twilighters who agree (feel free to disagre as well)!Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Bella, I love to hate her, I tell you that much, my beef with Bella is that she has the most perfect guy in the entire world!.!.!.i mean he worships the ground she walks on!.!.!.and shes constantly doing stupid things like running off to see Jacob Black and hang out with a damn pack of werewolfs, which I think Edward only gave in and allowed it for her! How could she be so inconsiderate!!? She also annoys me in the sense that she is unappreciative! Edward and the Cullens, her future family, have MONEY! She needs to accept it!. also I know she doesn't want to be "that girl, that gets married straight out of high school" but why the hell not!!? She already knows its her and Edward forever! Why not go ahead and marry the guy!!? That's all he wants!.!.!.one tiny request, when he lets her have everything else her way, most of the time!. But all in all I love her character!. For several reasons, one I think shes strong, some say she is weak, I don't agree!. Shes defiantly utterly infatuated with Edward, he is all she wants!. But she also acknowledges that basically, there is a part of her, that can see her and Jocob's happily ever after!. also shes a smart girl, as far as how she speaks!.!.!.another thing is shes so relatable, and normal!. Many girls can easily put themselves in Bella's shoes, when I'm reading, it's easy to see myself as Bella!.Www@QuestionHome@Com At first, I didn't really pay attention to Bella's attitude in Twilight!. It was pretty stupid of me to not see it!. In New Moon - I began to see what people meant by whiney, complaining, irritating, drama queen!. I see her as a rude person!. I'm not sure why!. But the way she's never listening to Jessica or paying much attention to her other friends is kinda rude!. She's waaay to obsessed with Edward!.!.!. wait, forget that!. She didn't try to make Bella a good match to the vampires' extraordinary talent on purpose, because a human being can't even come close even if she'd tried!. Basically, her only talent is her ability to love, and the ability to shield her mind from external influence!. She's a loner, she doesn't like gatherings, she's ultra self-conscious and accident prone!. She can be as shallow as every other girl, worrying about getting older when Edward is eternally 17!. I kind of like that, because she could just turn out to be the girl next door to you!. I like her a lot as a character, even if she's ordinary without superpowers!. At the same time, the author managed to inject from female superpowers in the story through Alice and Rosalie!. I don't feel it is misogynistic at all!. It'd have been completely unnatural to have Bella, a mere human, defeat vampire superpowers!. And just because Bella has Edward's love, why should she not try to retain friendship with Jacob, when she feels that their enmity is absurd!? Isn't friendship as important as love!? It was admittedly foolish of her to not discourage Jacob's developing feelings, but Bella herself learned that lesson, and suffered for it!. If the author decides that she wants the character to learn the lesson along the journey, it is her choice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
