Question: Pre-ordering books (Borders)!?
Okay, I went to Borders a while ago and they had a place by the door to put your name phone number (etc!.) on a piece of paper and then you give it to them (to order the book)!. I've never done that before, what do I do to pick it up!? (Meaning, do I give them my number at the checkout desk, or will they send it (I'm doubting they'll do that!.!.!.) or!.!.!.!? And seeing as I didn't put down any money for it, will they have it if I get to the release late, or will they just be like "Sorry, there were paying customers actually that got here on time and we're sold out"!? And by that I mean, does my filling out this tiny piece of paper mean my book guaranteed!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, your book is guaranteed!. If the book is Breaking Dawn, you can go to the midnight release party to pick up your book (assuming your Borders is having one)!. There will be a table set up in the front of the store and someone will check your name off a list and give you a slip to get your book!. If you go during the normal business day, they keep the pre-ordered books behind the counter and you can just give your name to the cashier!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've never heard of filling out a paper to order a book!. I've always heard of doing it with an employee who enters your info directly into the computer, or doing it yourself online!.
Perhaps different stores do things differently!?

I highly recommend phoning that Borders to find out, don't risk your book not being ordered!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
