Question: What Book Has Captivated You The Most!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Another hard question!. The Blood Confession was extremely intriguing to me!. It had a unique plot and a great main character!.

I also found The Mist of Avalon to be very captivating!. I ended up playing sick from school for two days just so I could finish it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would say:
"Birdwing" by Rafe Martin!. This was such a great book!. It helped me to realize that though I may not be perfect, my friends are always there for me and that there is a reason for everything!. I also may not fit in, but I can still be my own person and exel in the things that I am good in!. This was an excellent read and you should definitely consider reading it!.
also, of course, the "Harry Potter" series!. This was the first series of books that I had ever read, and I am sure that it was the first "real" chapter book I have ever actually read!. It was just so amazingly well written and even the people that you never expect to make it to the top, do!. Take young Harry Potter, for example!. He was a mere orphan, struggling to fit in, when he just finds out he is a wizard, and his entire life changes before his eyes!. This series of books has also helped me to find a place in my mind where I can drift away while reading these books and forget about all of life's trouble!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I cannot recommend Bill Bryson's A Walk in the Woods enough!. It was on the best sellers list for an eternity back in '99 or so!. I love Bill Bryson! It is not captivated in the sense that it is wistful and romantic in a male/female kind of way, but it yearns for a time near the turn of the century, around the Victorian Era!. It is a story of a man discovering an entrance to the Appalachian Trail near his property line!. He goes hiking and one is suddenly there!.!.!. it is a hysterically funny story, imbued with historical references, botany lessons, stories of losses suffered by the country, while we, as a nation, perceive them as gain and progress!.!.!. I love it that Bill always transports me to a wonderful place where I learn so much about so many things and never realize I am being taught at all! I cannot say enough about it!

I hope that you will read it! Best wishes!Www@QuestionHome@Com

A Ring of Endless Light - Madeline L'Engle
This book was absoulutely stunningly amazing!. Extremely well-written with a lot of meaning behind the words!.
And
Of course!.
Harry Potter!. But I will spare you the entire 50 pages that I could write about the amazingness and complexities of this book!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

A quiet belief in angels- R!.J Ellory!. He captures the world of death and life, pain and suffering in images you'd never think of!. He keeps you guessing until the very last page and im pretty sure its one of the very best crime novels ive ever read!. I dont often feel emotionally attatched to characters, but I actually felt sorry for the lead man!. You learn what a cruel world it is in a metaphorical way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Lords of Discipline by Pat Conroy!. It's a very boy-y book and I'm a girl, but it's my favorite book of all time!. It involves life at a military school, but it's not about war, it's about the personal lives of the boys who attend!. I never get sick of it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
